Andreas Moe in Zurich

Sold out concert at Rossi Bar. After we’ve discovered Swedish singer/songwriter Andreas Moe in February at Kodaline, we immediately got hold of a ticket for his headliner concert in Zurich. He was very much looking forward to the concert – and we as well.

The concert was quickly sold out. Ok, Bar Rossi apparently got a capacity of about 40 people and is of course not that big. But hey, sold out is sold out! If the location would have been bigger, there would have come more for sure.

Thomas Ludell, also a singer/songwriter from Sweden and known in his home especially cause he has been part of the “Idol” show, was on tour with him as support. The concert in Zurich was his last one before he was going to travel back home the next day. Only recently he had bought tickets himself for Andreas Moe’s concerts in Berlin and Hamburg, and now he could be on tour with him. He was a big inspiration for him and so the happier he was to be able to tour with him. We were happy too, that he was part of it. Thomas convinced with wonderful lyrics and melodies, sang own songs and a cover of Kings Of Leon’s “Use Somebody” as well as “Flume” by Bon Iver. Unfortunately others seemed not to have the same opinion. There was big chattering in the bar and you’d wonder what all the teengirls actually were going to a concert for, if they didn’t listen properly?!

After a short changing break it luckily was better with Andreas Moe. Next to the accoustic guitare he accompaigned himself with a basedrum and some kind of mini-tambourine for the foot. This of course made his songs more rhythmic and energetic. And of course the harmonica couldn’t be missed, he got quite a selection with him. Already the second song was “Ocean”, that the audience seemed to know pretty well to sing along. He went through the concert with some little stories and tellings, played many wonderful songs next to it. Addionally he played a duet with Thomas for “Volcanoes” and because he owned so much to Kodaline, his publicity raised quickly thanks ot them, the “All I Want” cover couldn’t be missed. Generally my friends and my favourit was “+1” [video here] though. Also “Collecting Sunlight” [video here] I liked a lot.

I finally had to hurry a bit to catch the last train, but there was still enouch time for a quick photo and autographs. On Tuesday, 24th November 2015 and Wednesday, 25th November 2015 Andreas will be back in Switzerland by the way. Tickets for both concerts are available at Starticket. It’s worth it!
