The Swiss Mountain Roadshow was launched by Bernese Oberland cultural organizers. They send a complete festival on tour and bring the entire infrastructure including artists to the event locations. After Steffisburg, two tour stops are already fixed, and more are being negotiated. The mobile stage, the bars, the catering, toilettes: everything is included.

The organizers emphasize that the festival tour is not primarily charitable. The events are chargeable and self-supporting. The local patronage partners are involved in the proceeds from ticket sales. The aim is that all parties involved – caterers, infrastructure service providers, security companies, artists and more – can compensate for at least some of the losses that resulted from the factual elimination of the festival summer 2020.
